Our program is a comprehensive program that builds upon each level. Our instructors are trained to follow a specific set of skills that transition into the next level.

Private sessions are being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 am and 11:30 am, until Aug. 25th. Location: Stonybrook - Privates are $50.00 per 30-minute Session, paid to the instructor.

Drowning is a leading cause of death for children four and under. However, it is preventable. Children who take swimming lessons are 88% less likely to drown than those who do not. Your tax-deductible donation will help fund free and low-cost swimming lessons for children in need.

Class Levels 
Level 1: Beginner Level - no skills needed must be ages 3-15 years of age.   

Skills to Develop:
  • Water Safety Skills
  • Breathing underwater
  • Proper kicking
  • Front and Back Float
  • Superman

Level 2: Intermediate Level - must be able to float on back and comfortable going under water.

     
Skills to Develop:
  • Front and Back Float
  • Superman
  • Breathing
  • Rotation
  • Kicking on back
  • Three rotations: Swim - Float - Swim Big Arms / Side Breathing Side Kicking

Level 3: Advance Level: must be able to swim 15ft using big arms using the swim- float-swim method.

 
Skills to Develop:
  • Three rotations: Swim - Float - Swim
  • Big Arms / Side Breathing
  • Side Kicking / Side Breathing
  • Swim 25 yards free / back

Stroke Development: Intro to Swim Team - Must be able to swim 25 yard free and 25 yard backstroke.

  

Skills to Develop:
  • Improve technique in all four strokes
  • Free, Back, Fly, Breast
  • Starts and Turns
  • Racing is optional
  • 2-3 days of practice a week is recommended
